Magnum boots are some of the most popular police footwear on the market. This is perhaps because of Magnum’s understanding of the importance of ongoing product development and high level testing to produce footwear of the highest quality that offers maximum comfort. Magnum’s testing focuses on the production process and the materials used. The following is a list of features that makes these police boots superior. All products are wear tested, tested for breathability and there are also ergonomic tests to ensure that the footwear is comfortable for daily activities. The soles are also tested for slip resistance, petrol and oil resistance and heat resistance (temporary resistance at 300 Deg. C.). Furthermore, the soles are tested for flexing and tearing. Also, the soles last longer because of built in sole resistance and this footwear is insulated from the cold and so preventing discomfort or injury in winter months. There is also pierce resistance by way of an underfoot steel plate and shock absorption, which absorbs more than 35 joules of impact in the heel area and so prevents knees and joints from injury. There is also steel toe protection up to 200 joules impact force.

There are several popular models of Magnum boots including the Classic CEN, Elite Spider and the Elite II, which we will now discuss in turn.

The Classic CEN boot is a top seller amongst police and security personnel. This is a lightweight boot, that offers just the right amount of protection to the ankle and foot, but still allowing the freedom to run if required. Features include a 1150 denier nylon upper, Magnum deep padded comfort tongue, Thermoplastic stiffeners for ultimate durability and strength, durable laces with enhanced abrasion resistance, rot proof double stitched seams, Magnum welded D rings for concealment and strength, comfort lining to ensure dryness and comfort and a unique Magnum CE approved carboxilated nitrile rubber sole.

The Magnum Elite Spider is positioned in the market to rival competitors by being the lightest, most breathable and athletic tactical boot. This boot is cutting edge and is manufactured to suit elite tactical professionals, including UK tactical firearms patrols and task force officers. The Spider boot is 20% lighter than any other in this category and its lightweight build suits SWAT operational missions, keeping officers agile and light on their feet. The upper is made from polishable full grain leather, lightweight leather and a breathable ‘aero mesh’. What makes the Spider different from other boots is that it is based on running shoe structure cutting it out for physical training and running. The midsole comprises a tri-density moulded EVA midsole, technology lending itself from running footwear, whilst a 3D Max Comfort Contoured Footbed offers comfort, shock absorption and support. A lace pouch is also provided allowing you to conceal laces for convenience and safety.

Other Magnum boots in the range are the Elite II boots which are fantastic looking boots that are designed to the highest specifications. The Elite II is developed for someone who requires their kit in situations where mistakes or equipment failure are not allowed. The top specification components give enhanced ruggedness and protection, whilst offering the flexibility to remain light on your feet.

They will also remain smart in appearance for years.
